I promised my friend Ali that I would post some of my drawings and recent art exercises. So here are a few I have done whilst researching African jewellery. Hopefully I will be incorporating some of these patterns in my next textile work but I think with a change of colour from pink!

These look really interesting. I always associate (rightly or wrongly) Africa with bring colours and bold designs, using the pinks has really transformed them into something delicate which I think is lovely. Looking forward to seeing how you will interpret these in fabric.
